چکیده
Mycoplasma hyorhinis is known as one of the most prevalent contaminants of mammalian cell and tissue cultures worldwide. Here, we present the complete genome sequence of the fastidious M. hyorhinis strain DBS 1050.

Complete Genome Sequence of Mycoplasma hyorhinis Strain SK76
Mycoplasma hyorhinis is a eubacterium belonging to the Mollicutes class and is responsible for porcine respiratory and arthritic diseases. It is also the major contaminant of mammalian tissue cultures in laboratories worldwide. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of M. hyorhinis strain SK76.
متن کاملGenome Sequence of Mycoplasma hyorhinis Isolated from Cell Cultures
Mycoplasmas are major contaminants of mammalian cell cultures. Here, the complete genome sequence of Mycoplasma hyorhinis recovered from Madin-Darby bovine kidney (MDBK) cells is reported.
متن کاملGenome analysis of a Mycoplasma hyorhinis strain derived from a primary human melanoma cell line.
The complete genome of Mycoplasma hyorhinis strain MCLD has been sequenced and annotated. This genome differs by the inversion of a 14.4-kb and a 3.7-kb fragment and the deletion of a 9.9-kb fragment from M. hyorhinis strain HUB-1, isolated from swine respiratory tract. The genome revealed 778 coding sequences (CDSs), with a limited number of vlp genes encoding variable surface lipoproteins.
متن کاملMonoclonal antibodies to Mycoplasma hyorhinis surface antigens: tools for analyzing mycoplasma-lymphoid cell interactions.
A library has been constructed of approximately 50 monoclonal antibodies that recognize antigens of Mycoplasma hyorhinis. Characteristics of six antibodies are discussed. Each reacts with a discrete determinant borne on a protein-containing molecule of distinct molecular size. Three of these respective antigens are expressed at the surface of mycoplasmas colonizing lymphoblastoid cells in cultu...
متن کاملCharacterization of pyrimidine nucleoside phosphorylase of Mycoplasma hyorhinis: implications for the clinical efficacy of nucleoside analogues.
In the present paper we demonstrate that the cytostatic and antiviral activity of pyrimidine nucleoside analogues is markedly decreased by a Mycoplasma hyorhinis infection and show that the phosphorolytic activity of the mycoplasmas is responsible for this. Since mycoplasmas are (i) an important cause of secondary infections in immunocompromised (e.g. HIV infected) patients and (ii) known to pr...
